A tenuous voyage into chronic illness; paintings and blog posts.
The last few years I have struggled with chronic illness.
It made my life smaller.
Recently, however, painting has become a tool to celebrate the small and ordinary things that can make up a whole beautiful life. I hope to capture and share a sense of magic, adventure and wonder in the ordinary and natural world.
I hope by sharing my progress, practice, treatments and journey (like some have kindly shared with me) I might be able to help, resonate with or give hope to even one person (whilst finding myself some wholesome journaling therapy through the form of blogging).
I originally created a blog to share the trials and tribulations of my health-journey after getting sick and not getting better.
Following illness on my OE, my world was quickly suspended into a limbo half-life of Panadol, fatigue and unanswered questions, where the prime of my twenties looked less like bars in Amsterdam and more like an early flight home.
However, although there’s no silver-bullet, I've tried a multitude of avenues to heal. I’m not better, but parts of me are.
